10 families flee Baghdad fearing arbitrary arrests – MP

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com:  Ten families left their homes in Furat Quarter heading for Anbar province, fearing that their sons might be arrested, Parliamentary Immigration Commission MP Liqa’ Wardi announced today. In a press statement, as received by IraqiNews.com, Wardi noted that the families contacted the parliamentary commission, explaining that their reasons for emigrating involved negotiations to garner some money from them. On Tuesday Wardi charged the military forces with adopting “unethical” and “inhuman”  practices, as well as the government using these forces to “implement its policies”. RM (TP)/SR 353
