BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi Parliament’s Member for west Iraq‘s Anbar Province, Khalid al-Abdullah al-Alwany, has demanded the Iraqi government on Thursday to uncover all the crimes committed by the American forces in Iraq, since the invasion of the country in 2003, considering the Haditha massacre, committed by an American soldier, must not pass without punishment. “What had happened in Haditha township of Anbar Province of a crime against innocent people must not pass without punishment,” Alwany said in a statement, copy of which was received by IraqiNews.com news agency, adding that “there had been other massacres, committed by the American troops in the cities of Falluja, Diloiya and others.” Alwany, a Legislature for al-Iraqiya Alliance, led by former Prime Minister, Iyad Allawi, has also called on the Civil Society organizations, interested in human rights, to cooperate with the Iraqi government “to follow up all the human rights dossiers in Iraq by the American forces,” confirming that “the bloods of Iraqis must not go with the wind.” Noteworthy is that the soldiers of the 3rd US Army Company, led by a Colonel of the 1st Navy Brigade, had opened fire on 9 persons in the streets of Haditha, and then 19 others, during their inspection of houses, searching for armed men, who had planted an explosive charge that blew off to claim the life of a Marines soldier on Nov.19, 2005. The US Military Investigation Committee had condemned the said US Colonel with responsibility for the Haditha massacre, that claimed the lives of 24 Iraqis, and then it retreated and pardoned him for such responsibility, on his capacity as the Commander of the Unit that committed the massacre.
