ECONOMY: Najaf’s Governor confers with US Ambassador means for investment in Province

NAJAF / IraqiNews.com: The Governor of southwest Iraq’s Province of Najaf has conferred in Najaf on Saturday with the US Ambassador to Baghdad on Saturday, expressing willingness of his Province to cooperate with the American side in the field of investment, Governor Adnan al-Zurfi told IraqiNews.com news agency.”The meeting with the American Ambassador to Baghdad, James Jeffery, had been positive, as it was centered on the discussion of the  economy developments and the massive development movement in Najaf Province, as well as the political developments in Iraq,” Zurfi said.”We have also met some American investors, wishing to invest in Najaf, who expressed complete readiness to invest in the Province in all fields,” he added.Governor Zurfi also said that “the US Ambassador and the American investors, have expressed readiness to share in the Province’s economic development, especially that it had been witnessing an exceptional security stability.Najaf, a Shiite holy Province, is 160 km to the south of Baghdad.SKH (PT) 417
