Ministry of oil responsible for electricity deterioration – official

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Parliamentary Oil and Energy Commission Member charged,  partially, today Iraqi Oil Ministry for the deterioration in electric power in the country and in Basra, in particular. MP Suzan al-Saad criticized the lack of coordination with the ministry of electricity officials, the non-supply of fuel and importation of ill-manufactured transformers. She added that the Commission, during its tours, discovered the lack of fuel supply, in addition to the oldness of electrical networks. Iraqi provinces suffered since 2003 lack in electrical supply, that reached to 4 hours daily, both in winter and summer times.
