12 killed, 23 injured in traffic accident in Diwaniya, south Iraq

DIWANIYA / IraqiNews.com: At least 23 people have been klled and 23 others injured in a traffic accident in southern Iraq‘s Diwaniya city on Friday, the city’s Hospital Director, Dr.Ahmed Khuzae told IraqiNews.com news agency on Saturday.”Our Hospital has received the bodies of 12 people, along with 23 injured, who had victims of a traffic accident on the Diwaniya-Samawa road, among them women and children,” Dr.Khuuzae said.Noteworthy is that the Diwaniya-Samawa road is considered a dangerous road,  called the “Death Road,” due to the high number of accidents taking place on that road, because it is a one-way road,  witnessing large numbers of trucks, buses and other vehicles.Diwaniya, the center of the Province carrying the same name, is 180 km to the south of Baghdad.
