2 arrested north of Wassit province

WASSIT / IraqiNews.com: Police forces arrested two Qaeda wanted persons, including a leading member, north of the province, police sources said today. General Hussein Abdul Hadi told IraqiNews.com that the two were arrested in Suwaira area, 90 km north of Kut city. He added that the arrested were implicated in armed operations against the civilians and security forces in the province. General Hadi added that the arrest operation was conducted upon intelligence information and court warrant charging them with terrorism. Kut, the center of Wassit province, lies 180 km south east of the capital, Baghdad. RM (TP)/SR 2195
