4 main roads constructed in Missan

MISSAN / IraqiNews.com: Construction work has been completed on four main roads in southern Amara city at a cost of one billion Iraqi dinars, a senior local official said on Saturday. “The completion period of the four projects was six months,” Raysan Mohammed told IraqiNews.com. The Iraqi government has allocated a total of 62 billion Iraqi dinars (1 U.S. dollar = 1,118 Iraqi dinars) for reconstruction and development projects in Missan province. Missan is a Shiite province. Its capital city is al-Amara. Sitting on the Tigris River, Amara lies 390 km south of Baghdad. Missan, in the east of the country, bordering Iran, is home to many marsh Arabs. SS (P) 1
