Many Iraqi families in Iran wish to return home

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: A delegation representing the Ministry of Immigration and Displaced, currently visiting Iran, met with the Iraqi ambassador to Iran to discuss Iraqis currently residing in the country and how to facilitate their return to Iraq. The delegation, with the help of the Iraqi Embassy in Tehran, will distribute financial grants to Iraqi families spread throughout 12 Iranian provinces. The Iraqi Ambassador in Iran, Majeed al-Sheikh, declared that many Iraqi families wanted to return home, a Ministry statement received by IraqiNews.com highlighted. Most of the Iraqi families in Iran belong to Feili Kurds ethnic group. Ambassador al-Sheikh disclosed that the embassy, in collaboration with the Immigration Ministry, were able to assist Iraqis in obtaining their national documents and passports. RM (TP)/SR 518
