Hakim meets, Kuwaiti Emir, PM

Follow-up (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, met in Kuwait with the Emir of Kuwait Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.

According to the Kuwaiti official news agency KONA “The Emir of Kuwait Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received at the Sword Palace in Kuwait on Monday morning, head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, and the accompanying delegation on the occasion of his visit to the country.”

KONA also reported that “The Crown Prince of Kuwait Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received, at the Sword Palace this morning, al-Hakim and the accompanying delegation on the occasion of his visit to the country,” noting that “Al-Sabah welcomed the visit of Al-Hakim to the State of Kuwait,” praising the constructive efforts of the head of the SIIC to consolidate the unity of Iraq.

The Crowned Prince stressed that “The stability of Iraq contributes to the stability of the region.”

For his part, al-Hakim stressed “The depth of relations between the two countries and expressed his appreciations to the State of Kuwait for its support and positive stances towards Iraq.”

On the other hand, the Kuwaiti News Agency mentioned that “The Kuwaiti Prime Minister Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah received on Monday the head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim and the accompanying delegation on the occasion of his visit to the country.”

It is worth to mention that “Hakim has arrived to Kuwait on Sunday morning in a regular visit which is expected to last for a week.
