Communist Party shows concerns over disturbed relation between Central Government, Kurdistan Region

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Communist Party showed concerns over the disturbed relations between the Central Government and Kurdistan Regional Government over preventing the Iraqi Army from reaching the Syrian borders that are close to Kurdistan Region.

In a press statement, the Party showed that “The current tensions show that the conflict will transfer from the political level into the military level where it will have very bad results on the Iraqi people.”

“We are sure that the officials in the two sides recognize these facts and the danger that they are facing by adhering to the weapons which will affect the political process and the democratic Iraq,” the statement added.

“The current crisis requests the necessity of activating the dialogue and the serious meetings in order to settle it according to the constitution and the associative deals,” the statement pointed out.

“The lack of confidence among the political leaders is one of the main reasons behind the increase of the crisis and tensions,” the statement concluded.
