MoWR meets sheikhs, elders of Nineveh tribal

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Minister of Water Resources, Muhaned al-Sa’ady received a delegation of elders and Sheikhs of Nineveh’s tribes at his office in Baghdad

The Ministry of Water Resources mentioned in statement to IraqiNews.com that ”During the meeting, the Minister discussed the means to provide the water shares for agricultural lands in the province,” stressing that ”The Ministry is seeking to implement reclamation projects and using new methods in irrigation such as spray irrigation and drip irrigation to reduce waste in the water and to ensure dividing the water in fair way among all the Iraqi provinces.”

The statement added that ”The Minister listened to some suggestions related to implementing irrigation projects and instructed to form a committee to study the reality of the agriculture lands in the province in order to prepare the necessary plans to develop the irrigation reality in the province.” \
