Damlouji denies Allawi’s participation in Jaafary’s Iftar banquet

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqiya Slate denied “The participation of its head, Ayad Allawi, in the Iftar banquet that was called for by the head of the Iraqi National Alliance, Ibraheem al-Jaafary, on Tuesday evening.”

The spokesperson of the IS, Maysoun al-Damlouji, stated to IraqiNews.com “Allawi will not attend the banquet which Jaafary called all the blocs leaders for because he is outside Iraq.”

Earlier, MP, Suzan al-Saad, of the INA stated that Jaafary invited all the heads of the political blocs to attend the Iftar banquet at his residence, expecting that Maliki and the head of the Iraqiya Slate, Ayad Allawi, to attend it.

MP, Hussein al-Asadi, of the State of Law Coalition confirmed that the Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, will attend the Iftar banquet called for by the head of the Iraqi National Alliance, Ibrahim al-Jaafary.”

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he said “Maliki will attend the Iftar banquet at Jaafary’s residence,” noting that “It will also be good atmosphere to discuss the political issues and the reform proposal.”
