Security forces continues surrounding Anti-Terrorism Department

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Security source confirmed that ”The security forces continue in imposing the siege on the building of the Anti-Terrorism Department in central Baghdad.”

The source stated to IraqiNews.com that ”The police forces are still surrounding the building of the Anti-Terrorism Department to stop the two suicide bombers from escaping after the third suicide bomber was killed,” noting that “The next few hours will resolve the situation and the rest of the floors of the building which were controlled by the terrorist suicide bombers will be freed soon.”

Three suicide bombers wearing explosive vests stormed the Anti-Terrorism Department building and killed some security elements of the protection forces after armed clashes between the two sides.

The official Iraqiya satellite channel quoted the Interior Ministry Undersecretary Adnan al-Asadi as saying “The security bodies managed to surround two suicide bombers wearing explosive vests and killed the third terrorist inside the building of Anti-Terrorism Department,” adding that ”The security forces prevented escape operation conducted by some prisoners who are affiliated to some terrorist organizations.”

Earlier, two car bombs exploded on Tuesday noon near the police patrols department and Wassiti Hospital resulted, according to final statistics, in killing and injuring (65) persons. \
