Sadrist MP: Parliament to vote on canceling Article 40 of 2012 budget

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Ahrar bloc confirmed that “The parliament will vote on the cancellation of the Article 40 of the 2012 budget law.”

MP, Abdul Hussein al-Hussieni, of the Ahrar bloc said in a press statement received by Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) on Monday “Article 40, which cancels the Article 3 of the Second Chapter of the Article 55 of 2012 budget law, was included in the agenda of the parliament session of Monday.”

“According to this suggestion, the persons included in the article will be returned to their jobs if they were not included by the decisions of the Justice and Accountability Committee,” he added.

A parliamentary source stated to IraqiNews.com on Monday “The parliament session headed by the Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, will include the first reading of the cancellation of the Article 40 of 2012 budget which stopped granting retirement salaries to the members of the local councils.”
