Yawar calls decision makers to deter Peshmerga forces’ transgressions
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Secretary General of the Justice and Reform Movement Abdullah Ajeel al-Yawar condemned the Kurdish Peshmega forces acts to prevent the units of the Iraqi Federal Army to advance forward in Nineveh province, describing it as “Constitutional violation and disregard to the Iraqi Central Government.” Yawar said “The Peshmerga forces impose control on many important and vital areas in provinces of Nineveh, Kirkuk and Diyala to prepare for dividing and joining them to the Kurdistan Region.” “We consider the transgressions on the Iraqi Army by these forces as an violation for the morals of the Iraqis as a whole and it cannot be tolerated,” he stressed. “It is the Prerogative of the IA to impose its control on the entire Iraqi grounds including Kurdistan Region,” he added. “Peshmerga forces play dangerous role that works on splitting Kirkuk, Nineveh and Diyala provinces and create sedition among their people therefore these forces must be confronted by strong deterrent by the decision makers,” Yawar confirmed. Yawar expressed surprise at what he described as “vulnerable stances of the Parliament Speaker Osama al-Najaifi, Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki and President Jalal Talabani who are primarily responsible for protecting the Constitution and its application towards the occupation of the Peshmerga of parts of Kirkuk, Mosul and Diyala provinces.”
