Araji: Ahrar bloc not to vote on supplementary budget

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of Ahrar bloc within the Sadr Trend, Baha al-Araji, announced that “Ahrar bloc will not vote on the supplementary budget because it cancels the article related to distributing 25% of the oil superabundant revenues among the Iraqis.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) after the weekly meeting of the bloc “The meeting tackled a number of issues including the Syrian situation and the Iraqi stance towards it, the formation of the Independent High Electoral Commission, amending the Elections Law, electric power crisis in addition to the supplementary budget as well as the political file in general.”

“All these issues were discussed transparently and we agreed upon the necessity of supporting the Syrian refugees,” he added.

He confirmed “The importance of presenting the law draft of limiting the three Presidencies’ terms to the parliament to be read as the first reading,” he concluded.
