Talabani’s advisor warns from control of Syrian armed groups over advanced weapons
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The advisor of the President, Jalal Talabani, for the Tribal Affairs, Daghir al-Mosawi, called the political leaders to settle the political disputes and form a crisis committee to follow up with the Syrian scene and its effect to Iraq.
In a press statement received by IraqiNews.com on Wednesday, he said “The Syrian scene is in a very critical and hard condition, though we are against the bloodshed, but we oppose any foreign interference in Syria whether by Arabs or International Community where the solution must be by Syrians only.”
“The political leaders must realize the dangerous situation in Syria and the control of the expiatory sides that are so called the Free Army, which is supported by the Gulf countries,” he added, noting that “Iraq, in addition to Turkey and Lebanon, is one of the three countries that are concerned with the Syrian situation.”
“Possessing advanced weapons by the armed groups, resembles a threat to the Syrian people and the region where the Iraqi army is like the military police that lacks the Air forces and defense to defend its borders,” he concluded.
