90,000 tons of subsidized wheat seeds to be sold

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The official spokesperson of the Iraqi government on Tuesday said that the Ministry of Agriculture will start selling 90,000 tons of its wheat storage at a subsidized price, to be used as seeds for the coming farming season. “The price is set at 400,000 Iraqi dinars per ton,” Dr. Ali al-Dabbagh said in a release issued by his office. “The ministry will color those seeds in order for them to be distinguished from others,” the release that was received by IraqiNews.com quoted al-Dabbagh as saying. “The seeds should not be used for any other purposes, to preserve the public health,” he stressed.
