Saad suggests integrating Oil, Electricity Ministries into one for Energy

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Suzan al-Saad, member of the Parliamentary Oil and Energy Committee, called the Council of Ministers and the Parliament to “integrate the Ministries of Oil and Electricity into one Ministry for Energy in order to settle the strenuous crises in the country.” She stated “The catastrophic failure of the Ministry of Electricity in managing this file and its deficit to improve the situation of the power energy makes it necessary to have a clear stance for settling this issue.” “Merging the two Ministries means nothing if their integration was not accompanied by qualified administration, planning, and implementation for this new Ministry,” she concluded.
