Talabani, Maliki discuss political process

Talabani-Maliki BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi President Jalal Talabani on Tuesday discussed with Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki the ongoing political process and the latest developments in Iraq, a presidential statement said. “Talabani visited al-Maliki at his residence in Baghdad and discussed with him the ongoing political process,” said the statement received by IraqiNews.com. “The two officials also discussed the global financial crisis and its effects on the Iraqi economy, asserting the necessity to leave no stone unturned to find solutions of the crisis and to map out a strategy to ease the effects of this crisis,” the statement added.
