Maliki calls Iraqis in Syria to return to Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, called the Iraqis in Syria to return to Iraq with dignity and promised to forgive those who have negative stances towards Iraq and are not involved in shedding the Iraqi blood.

In a press statement on Friday night, Maliki said “The Iraqis and innocents are facing there killing and money looting by the criminal gangs who violated all the humanitarian traditions where they are the same as those who destroyed the stability in Iraq during the last few years.”

“Due to the hard security situation in Syria, we call Iraqis there to return to the their country which is the home of their security and dignity and we will forgive those who had negative stances towards Iraq and were not involved in shedding the Iraqi blood,” he added.

He called the United Nations to interfere immediately and cooperate with the Syrian authorities to protect the Iraqis and facilitate their return to Iraq.

PM Maliki renewed his call to welcome the Iraqis by saying “Iraq is for all Iraqis and we do not differentiate between citizens according to their religion, race and sect.”
