8 killed, wounded in Mosul attack

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: Four people were killed and four others wounded on Tuesday when they came under an armed attack by gunmen in western Mosul, a security source from Ninewa province said. “Unidentified gunmen opened fire today at eight newly-recruited policemen while heading for work in al-Amil neighborhood, western Mosul, killing four of them and injuring four others,” the source told IraqiNews.com. “The victims were on their way to report to their unit in al-Shahid Saleh contingent when the gunmen intercepted them and showered them with bullets before escaping to an unknown place,” the source indicated.
