Basra PC supports Hakim’s call to consider Basra as Economic Capital of Iraq

Basra (IraqiNews.com) Basra Provincial Council called all the national figures to support the call of The Head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, to consider Basra as the Economic Capital of Iraq.

The head of Basra PC, Sabah al-Bazoni, in his speech while holding a conference to support the project of Basra as the Economic Capital of Iraq, stated “we call to give the merits of Basra to be the Economic Capital of Iraq among three countries.’

“This project requires us to reconsider the Petro-Dollar budget because it is not sufficient to develop the province,” he added.

“We need huge reformations in order to reconsider the infrastructure of Basra province and this would not be done without a national decision by all parts,” he concluded.

The Citizen bloc, sponsored by Basra Governor, held an extended conference on Thursday to support the project of Basra the Economic Capital of Iraq.
