Syrian Ambassador to Iraq secedes from Assad’s regime

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Syrian Ambassador to Iraq Nawaf al-Faris announced his secession from the regime of the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, according to media reports.

Al-Faris is among the most distinguished officials in the Syrian Regime who announces his secession.

Al-Faris, a former official in the Syrian ruling Baath Party, has been appointed the Syrian Ambassador to Iraq in September 17, 2008.
