Hakim highlights Arab woman’s role in forming new political map in Middle East
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council Ammar al-Hakim highlighted the role of the Muslim woman and Arab woman in particular in forming the new political map in the Middle East.
A statement by the SIIC for Iraqi News cited Monday “Hakim, during his speech at the Islamic Up rise Conference held in Tehran, highlighted the decisive role of the Muslim woman and Arabic Woman in Particular in forming the new political scene in the Middle East through her struggle along with the man against Tyranny.”
“Hakim stressed importance of granting the right and natural place in the society,” according to the statement.
Hakim mentioned that “Iraqi women achieved great victories in the Iraqi experiment which preceded the Arab revolutions with ten years,” noting that “The Iraqi People started giving its trust for competent women to represent the People in Parliament and other executive positions.”
