Iraqi security forces nab 39 wanted individuals in Baghdad

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi security forces arrested 39 wanted individuals in a raid operation conducted through the past 24 hours, a military spokesman said. “Iraqi security forces captured 39 individuals on a wanted lists during security operations conducted in different parts of Baghdad and seized five roadside bombs,” Maj. Gen. Qassem Atta, Spokesman for Baghdad Operations Command (BOC) told IraqiNews.com. “Forces also discovered quantities of weapons and munitions,” he added. Since February 2007, Iraqi security forces have launched a large scale operation dubbed as Fardh al-Qanoon (Law Imposing) to crack down on gunmen and to assert the rule of law in Baghdad and its suburbs.
