Talabani congratulates Obama on National Independence Day
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The President Jalal Talabani congratulated the US President Barak Obama on the National Day of Independence, on July 4th, stressing Iraq’s keenness to expand cooperation between both countries. Talabani mentioned in the congratulatory message “I would like to present my warm and sincere congratulations on behalf of the Iraqi people for your Excellency on the occasion of the National Independence Day, wishing for the United States and its people more progress and prosperity.” He added “In this occasion, I would like to exploit the opportunity to emphasize the keenness of the Republic of Iraq to consolidate and broaden the cooperation with the USA in all fields based on the Strategic Framework Agreement conducted between our countries in the way that serves our peoples.”
