Mahdi describes forming Reforms Committee by INA as "Attempt to gain time"

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Ruz Mahdi, described “Forming the Reforms Committee by the Iraqi National Alliance as an attempt to gain time.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “Forming this Committee comes within the course of INA attempts to gain time and to show that others do not want a solution or the dialogue,” noting that “The INA is the side that neglected the former agreements.”

“There are no updates concerning the attempt to withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki,” he added.

Concerning the stance of the President, Jalal Talabani, in respect to the attempt of withdrawing confidence, Mahdi said “I do not think that Talabani supports Maliki but he has a national role to create harmony among the various sides.”

“The other sides may have misunderstood Talabani’s stance and I think when the issue of withdrawing the confidence will be presented in the parliament, MPs of Talabani’s Party will support the confidence withdrawal,” he concluded.
