Heated argument between Sadrist MP, SLC MP in parliament

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) A heated argument started between MP, Jawad al-Shihili, of the Ahrar bloc within Sadr Trend and MP, Mahmoud al-Hasan, of the State of Law Coalition headed by the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, during Thursday parliament session.

Parliamentary source stated to IraqiNews.com “Shihili called to speed up endorsing the General Amnesty Law to release the detainees especially of the Sadr Trend.”

“Al-Hasan responded saying that it is necessary for the parliament to ensure the right of the victims and the martyrs before releasing the detainees who are accused of conducting activities that destabilized the security situation in the country,” the source concluded.
