Butcher gunned down, son injured in Mosul

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: A butcher was gunned down and his son was wounded in an armed attack in central Mosul, a police source said on Sunday. “Today, unknown gunmen killed a butcher and wounded his son after they had broken into his shop in al-Farouq area, downtown Mosul,” the source told IraqiNews.com. “Police forces arrested one of the attackers in the neighboring Ras al-Kour area, while the others escaped through adjacent alleys,” the source added. Mosul, the capital city of Ninewa, lies 405 km north of Baghdad.
