MP describes dismissing Nijaifi as constitutional procedure

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Salim Delli, of the Iraqiya Slate described “The attempt of dismissing the Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, as a constitutional procedure if the MPs support it.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The posts of the Speaker, Premier and the President are not limited to certain figures.”

“The attempt of dismissing Nijaifi is a reaction to the calls for withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, because Nijaifi succeeded in convincing many of Maliki’s supporters to investigate him,” he assured.

“Nijaifi was neutral in his performance and helped in endorsing many laws during the last stage,” he added.

“The IS does not have a dispute with the State of Law Coalition but the SLC has,” he concluded.

Earlier, MP, Hanan al-Fatlawi, of the State of Law Coalition announced that “The request to withdraw confidence from the Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, was singed by many MPs and will be presented to the parliament during its session that will be held on next Saturday.”
