Sadr Trend confirms adherence for withdrawing confidence from Maliki

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Secretary General of Ahrar bloc, Dhiya al-Asadi, assured that “The Sadr Trend is still adherent to the attempt of withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The will provide other political sides with 40 signatures if they managed to gather 124 signatures supporting withdrawing confidence from Maliki.”

“If the required signatures were not collected, there are other legal procedures to be followed including investigating Maliki in the parliament,” he concluded.

Earlier, the head of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, confirmed that “The attempt of withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, will not succeed without the signature of the President, Jalal Talabani, on the request.”
