Sadrists to launch demonstration in Central Baghdad next Wednesday

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Sadrists will launch a demonstration to call for freedom of media in Central Baghdad on next Wednesday.

Informed source stated to IraqiNews.com “The Sadr Trend will call to keep media outlets away from the governmental control and to consolidate the unity of the country.”

“The demonstration will start from al-Mihsin mosque in Sadr city till al-Firdous square in central Baghdad on Wednesday afternoon,” the source added.

Earlier, the head of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, described the Iraqi media as “Controlled by government.”
