Musawi resumes his post as Head of Amal al-Rafidain bloc

Karbala (IraqiNews.com) Abbas al-Musawi, resumed assuming the post of “The head of Amal al-Rafidain bloc within Karbala Provincial Council.”

The member of the bloc, Mohamed al-Musawi, stated to IraqiNews.com “Musawi changed his mind concerning withdrawing from the bloc,” noting that “He resumed practicing his duties as the head of the bloc and the Deputy Governor of Karbala province.”

Earlier, Musawi, the first Deputy Governor of Karbala province and head of Amal al-Rafidain bloc withdrew from the bloc.

A source from the bloc said to IraqiNews.com “Musawi who headed the bloc withdrew because the bloc rejected the project of withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki.”

Amal al-Rafidain bloc announced its refusal for the attempts of withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki.

A statement by the bloc received by Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) cited “In the light of the current political debates, which is controlled by internal or foreign sides, we announce our rejection for the efforts exerted for withdrawing confidence from Maliki as we reject the calls for dividing Iraq for political aims.”
