Sadr denies discussing political issues with Maliki

Najaf (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, assured that “The phone call that he received from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, did not tackle political issues.”

In response to question by one of his followers over statement launched by the leader within the Dawa Islamic Party, Abdul Halim al-Ziheiri, in which he said “The phone call between Maliki and Sadr was positive and the crisis of withdrawing the confidence is about to be solved,” Sadr assured “Maliki called to greet and condole me only.”

The reports contradicted about the phone call conducted between Sadr and Maliki.
