Sadrist MP criticizes call for withdrawing confidence from Nijaifi

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Hussien al-Mansouri, of Ahrar bloc within Sadr Trend assured that “The calls for withdrawing confidence from the Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, are mere reaction for the calls for withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “Nijaifi headed the parliament with neutrality and professionalism,” noting that “The calls to dismiss Nijaifi aim at diverting the attention from the calls for withdrawing confidence from Maliki.”

Over investigating Maliki, he said “Sadr Trend has many documents that condemn Maliki like the case of al-Zarka in addition to the military operation of Sawlat al-Fursan against Basra in which he killed women and children.”

Earlier, the President, Jalal Talabani, sent a message to the four leaders who met in Erbil to clarify the reason behind his rejection for signing the request for withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, on Thursday.
