Talabani condoles for death of Saudi’s crown prince

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The President, Jalal Talabani, sent a condolence message to the Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz for the death of the Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince who passed away on Saturday.

Talabani’s message cited “It is with profound sorrow and deep grief we heard of the passing away of Your Majesty’s brother, His Royal Highness Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Interior.”

“We hereby expressing our sadness for the loss of such great man who served his country effectively and exerted efforts to deepen his country’s relations with the other countries,” Talabani concluded.

Crown Prince Naïf bin Abdul-Aziz has died just eight months after becoming heir to 89-year-old King Abdullah.

State TV said on Saturday that Naïf had died in Geneva, where he had been receiving medical treatment for an unknown illness.
