Maliki, Arabi discuss implementing resolutions of Baghdad Arab Summit
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, and the Secretary General of the Arab League, Nabeel al-Arabi, discussed through a phone call on Saturday, the implementation of the resolutions of Baghdad Arab Summit.
The assistant of the SGAL, Ahmed Bin Hilli confirmed in a press statement “Maliki and Arabi discussed following up the implementation of the resolutions of Baghdad Arab League because Iraq is currently the President of the AL.”
“They discussed the reports over the AL’s intention to close its office in Baghdad where Maliki expressed Iraq’s desire to keep on the office currently,” he added.
“Both sides reviewed the decision taken to upgrade the performance of the AL to follow up the developments witnessed on the regional and international levels,” he concluded.
It is worth mentioning that the 23rd Arab Summit held in Baghdad with the attendance of all its members except Syria.
