Batiekh expects settling political crisis soon

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Secretary General of the White bloc, Jamal al-Batiekh, stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The next days will witness settling the political crisis.”

He assured that “There are negotiations and dialogues among the political blocs to settle the crisis away from the tensed media statements.”

“The indicators that we have refer to reaching settlement for the crisis soon,” he concluded.

Earlier, the President Jalal Talabani assured, on last Saturday night, that the number of the MPs who have signed a request to withdraw confidence from the Premier Nouri al-Maliki reached only 160 MPs which is less than the required number limited by 163.

The political sides which held a meeting in Erbil on last Sunday decided to send “A clarifying message to confirm that the signatures collected for withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, are constitutionally suffesient and valid.

It is worth mentioning that the head of the Iraqiya Slate, Ayad Allawi, the Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, and the Deputy Premier, Salih al-Mutleg, participated in a meeting in Nineveh to discuss the efforts for withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki.
