Kurdish MP: Wednesday blasts show Qaeda capability of targeting security in Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Hassan Amin, of the Kurdistani Alliance stated that the Wednesday blasts that took place in Baghdad and other provinces show that the Terrorist Qaeda Organization is capable of targeting the security of Iraq.

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he stated “Wednesday bombings show that al-Qaeda is still targeting security in the religious ceremonies,” noting that “This issue requests the political blocs to unify their attitudes in order to face the plots that target the security of Iraq.”

He called to “Punish the neglectful security elements and reward the good ones in order to control the security in Iraq,” he added, assuring that “There are security gaps in the performance of the security elements on the areas that were targeted.”

According to statistics prepared by IraqiNews.com, the blasts resulted in killing and injuring 345 civilians as well as pilgrims heading to visit the Holy shrine of Imam Musa Bin Jaafar al-Kadhum.
