Mayahi describes parliament session of investigating Maliki as "Adventure"

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The leader within the White bloc described “The parliament session which will be devoted to conduct investigations with the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, as adventure,” noting that “Maliki will investigate the MPs rather than the opposite.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The violations committed by some political blocs like the failure of the Ministers, who belong to these blocs, to present the simplest services for the citizens will be used by Maliki to pressurize these blocs in case they summoned him to the parliament for investigation.”

“The State of Law Coalition assumed the Ministry of Higher Education only within the cabinet while all the other Ministers were imposed on Maliki,” he added.

“Maliki, through his political experience and constitutional performance, will be able to investigate the MPs instead of being investigated,” he concluded.

Earlier, the President Jalal Talabani assured, on last Saturday night, that the number of the MPs who have signed a request to withdraw confidence from the Premier Nouri al-Maliki reached only 160 MPs which is less than the required number limited by 163.

The political sides which held a meeting in Erbil on last Sunday decided to send “A clarifying message to confirm that the signatures collected for withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, are constitutionally suffesient and valid.

It is worth mentioning that the head of the Iraqiya Slate, Ayad Allawi, the Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, and the Deputy Premier, Salih al-Mutleg, participated in a meeting in Nineveh to discuss the efforts for withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki.
