Sadr calls Maliki to accept parliament decision over withdrawing confidence
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, called the President, Jalal Talabani, to speed up holding the parliament session for withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki,” urging “Maliki to accept the decision of the parliament.”
In response to question by one of his followers over the increased disputes and tensions among the political blocs, Sadr said “All my concerns are to eliminate your suffering my fellow citizens and this project of withdrawing confidence from Maliki aims at ending the lack of the services and the security all over Iraq.”
“I called first to provide the services for you and at the end of the nine points, which I called for in Erbil province, I set the condition of limiting Maliki’s terms to two,” he added.
“We should call Talabani to speed up holding the parliament session and Maliki to attend it to get the parliament the chance to decide about this issue,” he concluded.
