Mayahi: Some political blocs try to avoid holding national meeting

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The leader within the White bloc, Aziz al-Mayahi, confirmed that “The political blocs escape from holding the national bloc due to their concerns that their allegations may be revealed.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The national meeting is the only way to settle the crisis,” noting that “The current meetings are conducted behind the closed doors and fruitless.”

He called “The political leaders either to attend the national meeting to present their proposals before all sides or to avoid launching tensed statements.”

Earlier, the President Jalal Talabani assured, on last Saturday night, that “The number of the MPs who have signed a request to withdraw confidence from the Premier Nouri al-Maliki reached only 160 MPs which is less than the required number limited by 163.”

The political sides which held a meeting in Erbil on last Sunday decided to send “A clarifying message to confirm that the signatures collected for withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, are constitutionally suffesient and valid.

It is worth mentioning that the head of the Iraqiya Slate, Ayad Allawi, the Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, and the Deputy Premier, Salih al-Mutleg, participated in a meeting in Nineveh to discuss the efforts for withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki.
