Blocs to discuss files to be presented during investigating Maliki, says MP

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Faris al-Sinjari, of the Iraqiya Slate mentioned that “The political blocs will discuss the files intended to be presented during the investigation session of the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, in the parliament.”

He stated to IraqiNews.com “All blocs have files concerning the violations committed by Maliki,” noting that “The IS and some blocs discuss the violations including refraining from presenting the Commanders of the Iraqi Army Divisions to the parliament for approval, not nominating the Ministers of Interior and Defense and the absence of bylaw for the Council of Ministers.”

“The political blocs will reach agreement over some files to present them during the investigation session,” he concluded.

Earlier, the President Jalal Talabani assured, on last Saturday night, that “The number of the MPs who have signed a request to withdraw confidence from the Premier Nouri al-Maliki reached only 160 MPs which is less than the required number limited by 163.”

The political sides which held a meeting in Erbil on last Sunday decided to send “A clarifying message to confirm that the signatures collected for withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, are constitutionally suffesient and valid.

It is worth mentioning that the head of the Iraqiya Slate, Ayad Allawi, the Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, and the Deputy Premier, Salih al-Mutleg, participated in a meeting in Nineveh to discuss the efforts for withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki.
