SLC highlights Talabani’s stance in confronting Regional project

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The State of Law Coalition highlighted the stance of the President, Jalal Talabani, in confronting “The regional project which aims at dividing Iraq.”

MP, Nada al-Sudani, of the SLC stated to IraqiNews.com “The SLC appreciates Talabani, who represents the unity of Iraq as stated by Article 67 of the constitution, for his stance against the regional plot which targeted the unity of Iraq.”

She called “The political blocs to respond to Talabani’s call related to holding the national meeting to settle the crisis.”

Earlier, the President Jalal Talabani assured, on last Saturday night, that “The number of the MPs who have signed a request to withdraw confidence from the Premier Nouri al-Maliki reached only 160 MPs which is less than the required number limited by 163.”

It is worth mentioning that the head of the Iraqiya Slate, Ayad Allawi, the Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, and the Deputy Premier, Salih al-Mutleg, participated in a meeting in Nineveh to discuss the efforts for withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki.
