IS, KA, Sadr Trend conduct meeting in Erbil on Sunday

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The leaders and the representatives of the Iraqiya Slate, Kurdistani Alliance and the Sadr Trend conducted a meeting to discuss the issue of withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, in Erbil on Sunday morning.

MP, Ziyad al-Tharib, of the IS stated to IraqiNews.com “The meeting involved the head of the IS Ayad Allawi, the Deputy Premier Salih al-Mutleg, the Speaker Osama al-Nijaifi, while the Sadr Trend was represented by Dhiya al-Asadi, Ameer al-Kinani and Salah al-Ubaidi in addition to the representatives of the Kurdistani Alliance.”

“Minor meetings were held before this meeting among the members of the political blocs,” he added.

“The meeting is going to discuss activating the project of withdrawing confidence from Maliki,” he concluded.

Earlier, the President Jalal Talabani assured, on last Saturday night, that “The number of the MPs who have signed a request to withdraw confidence from the Premier Nouri al-Maliki reached only 160 MPs which is less than the required number limited by 163.”
