Ministry invites Czech companies to develop transport sector

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi minister of transport, Amir Abduljabbar, on Wednesday invited Czech companies to contribute to the development of the country’s transport sector, according to a ministerial release. “The minister met the Czech ambassador in Baghdad and called on Czech companies to participate in developing the Iraqi transport sector,” said the release that was received by IraqiNews.com. “They discussed how to follow up the memorandum of understanding signed by the two sides in 2004, through a joint Iraqi-Czech committee,” it added. “Abduljabbar invited the Czech companies to invest in constructing Basra Major Port and al-Furat al-Awsat International Airport,” it noted.
