White bloc: Talabani’s wisdom behind foiling attempt of withdrawing confidence from Maliki

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The White bloc assured that “The attempt of withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, was foiled due to the wisdom of the President, Jalal Talabani.”

A statement by the bloc received by Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) cited “Talabani’s interference in the political crisis was positive and he was dealing with the case as the President rather than a Kurdish or partisan leader.”

“Talabani’s efforts resulted in ending the unconstitutional calls for withdrawing confidence from Maliki,” the statement added.

“The bloc expects the next days to witness calm political atmosphere due to the meetings conducted by the political leaders who oppose the attempt of withdrawing confidence from Maliki,” the statement concluded.
