Blocs failed to withdraw confidence from Maliki, says MP

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The State of Law Coalition’s MP Amir al-Kufaishi called the political blocs to “return to holding the National Meeting in order to settle the political crisis after their failure in withdrawing confidence from the Premier Nouri al-Maliki.”

MP Kufaishi stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) Friday “The political heated movement over withdrawing confidence from Maliki has hurdled the process of submitting services for the citizens and created concerns for them over the political process which was built by the citizens’ sacrifices.”

All the blocs, including the opposition blocs, should resume attempts to hold the National Meeting and resort to constructive building after their failure in withdrawing confidence from Maliki, he added, noting that “All pending issues must be settled according to constitution.”

“For the sake of the future of Iraq and interests of Iraqis, I call blocs to forget about the heated disputes which stormed the Iraqi political scene,” MP Kufaishi concluded.
