Jouburi: We submit initiative to settle crisis to Maliki

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Ahmed al-Jouburi, of the Patriots bloc stated that the bloc has submitted an initiative to the Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki to settle the crisis of withdrawing confidence from him.

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he stated “Some of the MPs have met Maliki and submitted a new initiative concerning holding a national meeting aims to settle the crisis and discussing the files that are related to the citizens.”

“During the meeting with Maliki, we did not discuss the threats to seven of the MPs who rejected signing the request to withdraw confidence from the government,” he added.

“The threats were either by messages to MPs’ phones or directly to their houses,” he pointed out, rejecting to reveal the names of those MPs.

“These MPs are from Nineveh, Salah il-Din, Kirkuk and Diyala provinces,” he concluded.
